TRANSITION - What is it? Transition is defined as the process or a period of changing from one state or condition to another. No matter who you are, your company or your group will experience TRANSITION. The question is, "Will you be ready?"
Many of us have lived through challenging times that were out of our control. Maybe it was a business loss, contract ending, layoff, job stagnation, change in career field, or an undesirable work environment. What about leaving the military and entering into the civilian workforce? Re-entering the job market after raising children? How about leaving an at-risk youth program for college? OR what if you just don't know what to do with the next phase of your life? No worries, you are in the right place, with the right people, at the right time.
We offer two types of workshops:
1) Our Transitional Training Workshop is focused on finding you right where you are, creatively leveraging your natural energy and gifts, utilizing the tips, tools, and processes to propel you to your next logical step and beyond.
2) Immersive Arts Workshop is focused on utilizing theatrical performance as a catalyst for positive change. We creatively write, we perform, we share.
Our initial assessment will establish: A clear understanding of the group or individual; Capture their dreams, desires, and goals; - Help to translate them into a massive action plan for the path forward; and - Practice what you learn through mock interviews; improvisational scenarios, and non-verbal skills training to better our best.
During our training sessions and workshops, we address the hard questions like... "Managing Your Energy", "Knowing When Its Time to Move On.", "Making the Hard but Right Decision", "Failing Forward.", "F.E.A.R, the Unlikely Friend.", "Knowing Your Value.", "Negotiate with Power". If these topics resonate with you, let us help.
Our customers have included: Valiant Integrated Services, The Pentagon TAP, Andrews Air Force Base-Senior TAP, Small to Large Businesses, Baltimore Youth Arts, Youth Designing Change, Community-based help organizations, Northern Virginia Community College, Rutgers University, Greater Prince William County Adolescence Pregnancy Prevention Coalition & The March of Dimes, The East of the River Coalition for the Spirituality and Prevention of Violence, Greater Washington D.C. BUILD-A-BUSINESS - Many of us have dreams of owning our own business. We want to fire our bosses today; BUT, we have no plan for tomorrow. Unless you have identified a kind-hearted sponsor or investor with endless resources that want nothing in return, the chances are that is NOT a winning strategy. YOU are your RESCUE. Are you willing to pay the price?
Some of us are in companies that have stopped growing. Money has leveled out and we've become complacent. We've forgotten about what gave us passion and excited us about showing up. Many businesses fail because they are merely chasing dollars and abandoned valuable service. For many, the paradigm has shifted to the bottom-line ONLY and we feel the impact everyday. Water cooler discussions have been replaced with social media and instant messenger. Many companies view employees as easily replaceable commodities and employees return the favor by leaving for the next best salary. Employer/employee loyalty is viewed as merely words on the company website.
T.L. Herring and Associates realized that there were some things that have not changed. Customers pay companies to solve their problems. We teach our community of business owners to ask different questions, like... "What am I passionate about that people need?", "What problem am I fixing with my business?" and "Who cares?", "How do I commoditize my passion?" , "Who needs my services?", "How can I continually add value through my offerings?"
Many of the separating military students that we train at the Pentagon, Andrews Air Force Base, and other military installations, have focused on building their own businesses as their #1 Priority. We offer end-to-end business services that facilitate establishing a federal entity, a federal business or simply becoming an independent 1099 consultant.
What makes us different? As "lean" business leaders, we've built our service model on seven (7) proven Lean Principles of Business and Sustainable Growth. As we continued to evolved and refine our services, we implemented them with customers like: NASA - lean processes, accelerated organic growth through innovation, creative customer care, management training and implementation of a successful employee incentive program; ARMY - lean leadership, employee care and management training; WEST POINT ACADEMY - accelerated organic growth through customer care and management training.
We help you build your business by offering support services all along the way. We teach our business owners, leaders, and managers the three components of successful selling which are: 1) Is there a "need"? 2) Is there a "desire" to address that need? 3) Is there a "funding" commitment? If any one of these components are missing, then you simply do not have a sell. Don't get stuck.
